Former Ohio Northern standout Devin Russell returned to his alma mater and is currently in his 11th season as an assistant coach for the Polar Bear football program.
Russell became Ohio Northern's offensive coordinator in 2018 after working with the team's offensive line during his career.
He returns to ONU after coaching stints at John Carroll and NCAA Division I-AA Morehead St.
Russell coached the offensive line while serving as a graduate assistant at Morehead State in 2008.
He was also the assistant offensive line coach at John Carroll in 2006 and 2007.
The Worthington, Ohio, native earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Ohio Northern in the spring of 2006.
During his playing career, Russell was a three-time letterman and an All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree during his junior season in the 2004.
He married Diane Arnos (PharmD ’07), and the couple resides in Ada.
