ADA — Ohio Northern finished 29th nationally in the Learfield Sports Director's Cup standings for the 2011-12 season.

Points are scored according to team finishes at the NCAA III Championships, with 100 points given to the national champion in each sport.

The Polar Bears amassed 456 points and scored points by participating in the NCAA Championships in men's and women's soccer, women's cross country, men's swimming & diving, wrestling, men's and women's indoor track, women's tennis, men's and women's outdoor track & field and softball this season.

A total of 318 NCAA Division III schools scored points in NCAA III Championships events and ONU ranked 29th nationally, the second-highest finish among Ohio Athletic Conference schools.

The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports -- nine women's and nine men's.
