    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Ohio Northern wrestling had a solid showing with three placers at the Midwest Classic Saturday and Sunday, at the University of Indianapolis.

    The Polar Bears finished 14th out of 22 teams, which included 11 nationally ranked teams from Division II, III and NAIA.

    Northern's 39 points were the most among the six NCAA Division III schools in attendance.

    WESTERVILLE -- Ohio Northern got its running game going and posted an 82-61 men's basketball victory at Otterbein Saturday night at the Rike Center.

    The Polar Bears improve to 10-2 overall and stay alone atop the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 5-0 mark, while the Cardinals fall to 3-9, 1-5.

    Kurtis Brown led five ONU players in double figures with 16 points.

    DEERFIELD, Fla. — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team wrapped up its winter training trip in Florida with a quad meet at the Deerfield Winter College Relay Meet on Saturday.

    The Polar Bears (4-6) defeated Division I foe Rider 154-120 and Bates (Mass.) 158-150 and fell to Division I foe Davidson 164-134.

    The meet consisted on eight relay events and was swam on a long course, rater than an NCAA racing course.

    DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — The Ohio Northern men's swimming anddiving team defeated NCAA Division I foe Rider (N.J.)in a quad meet at the Deerfield Winter College Relay Meet Saturday afternoon.

    The Polar Bears (5-4) defeated Rider 164-110 and fell to Division I opponent Davidson (N.C.) 148-138 and to Bates (Mass.) 166-150.
