WAVERLY, IOWA — Ohio Northern senior Meagan Brennan fired a four-over par 76 in the final round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships at the Centennial Golf Club in Waverly, Iowa.

The senior from Mason, Ohio, started her round on the tenth hole and after a pair of bogies on the 12th and 13th hole’s, Brennan carded her first birdie of the championships on the par-5 14th. She would finish her opening nine with a 3-over 39.

On the front nine, similar to day one, Brennan parred the first seven holes before recording her only blemish on the home nine at the eighth. She carded a 1-over 37 on the front for a final round 37-39—76.

“Megan hit the ball very well today,” said ONU head coach Stacey Hairston. “This was how she hit the ball all year and she had a good round. She made a nice 12-foot putt for par on the last hole so that was a nice way to end her career.”

Brennen's round of 76 was tied for the eighth-lowest round of the day and ties her round of 76 at the 2006 OAC Championships for the third-lowest round in school history.

After starting the day tied for 75th, Brennan finished the championship tied for 46th after rounds of 79-85-87-76—327.

Methodist's Susan Martin took medalist honors by three shots after a round of 73 in the final round.

Martin led Methodist to its ninth straight NCAA Championship as the Monarchs won by an impressive 39 shots. OAC Champion Otterbein finished fifth in the 20-team field after a round of 329 on Friday.

Brennan ends her career as the first Polar Bear to earn All-American honors as she was named Duramed FUTURES Tour NGCA Honorable Mention All-America on Wednesday at the NGCA Awards banquet.
